Blue Star Welding is looking for a BIM Modeler who is responsible for the complete development of 3D model, erection drawings and shop details with the use of Tekla, a comprehensive 3D modeling program for our structural steel fabrication shop.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY


Responsibilities & Expectations of Candidate: •Accurately interpret ABC order documentation •Ability to understand construction plans and documentation in order from data supplied by field surveys •Prepare approval, construction, and shop drawings for engineering projects •Accurately complete and check all necessary system input for finalization of erection drawings, shop details and bill of materials •Ability to meet deadlines on a regular basis while maintaining quality of work •Ability to check the work of other detailers •Must have knowledge of construction methods and practices. •Must be a self-starter and motivated •Highly organized, detailed oriented, hardworking and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously to succeed in the position •Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with, engineers, architects, general contractors & fabricators •Provide advice and direction on projects when needed •Can Do Attitude
