MISCELLANEOUS STEEL DETAILER required in Wyoming Michigan

 Detailers will design and detail stairs, guardrail, and miscellaneous metal products from structural and architectural drawings and specifications, and following all applicable building codes. Shop drawings will be created using the latest versions of AutoCad and/or SDS/2. Detailers will work with members of the Estimating Team to ensure customer expectations are clearly understood, and with Project Managers to prioritize each project and review/resolve questions.

The detailer will report directly to the Detailing Manager. Responsibilities and duties will include:

• Review structural and architectural drawings and specifications for conflicts/questions.
• Work with Project Management to create RFIs.
• Use 2D and 3D design and detailing software to create shop drawings and erection plans.
• Adhere to applicable building codes and company design standards.
• Review and revise drawings based on engineering calculations, architect's notes and instruction, and field conditions.
• Release completed drawings to the shop for fabrication.
• Assist fabricators with questions, as necessary.
• Revise drawings as directed through accepted bulletins and contract changes.
